Born in Brundidge, Alabama, Dr. Murphy D. Moultry migrated to Ohio at the tender age of 5. There he built a life from obtaining a football scholarship and becoming a decorated athlete to reciting his dissertation for his doctorate which proved the Ohio Foundation Program unconstitutional, Dr. Moultry strived to teach, train and educate in everything he did. Because We Are Black is nonetheless the same. In retirement he has gained new light in wanting to change the world, one word at a time. Because We Are Black is not just a book, it’s a movement.
