Baked Chemistry, Merriam-Webster defines chemistry as the structure and properties of a substance: the way a substance changes and reacts with other substances.
As a little girl growing up with her siblings, Emtesha always had a love for sweet treats. Her love for them often took her on experimental journeys creating and utilizing basic ingredients to create good and sometimes not so good interesting creations. Never abandoning her love for baking Emtesha placed it on hold to focus on her husband and two beautiful children.
It was through their encouragement that she decided to dust off her apron and begin creating and exploring again. She started sharing with friends and co-workers while still keeping her family as her ultimate taste tester’s. Who could be more honest than them? The more others began to try her sweet concoctions they would often say, “Do you ever think about selling your baked goods?” “I would buy some if you sold them.” “You should really give it some thought, these are really good.”
What started as a hobby, quickly turned into the birth of a purpose bigger than Emtesha realized. So she decided to trust in herself and her talents and create Baked Chemistry.
“For baker’s recipes are the gospel truth, precise in their measurements and techniques.” “The secret to successful baking is all in the chemistry.” Kelly Stewart, The Science of Baking: culinate.com
